Welcome to the Kava Club!

We are a humble, family-owned business that started in 2011. For generations, our family has been cultivating the finest kava in the mountains above our village on the island of Ovalau, Fiji. The rich volcanic soil and the dedicated care we provide to our crops for five years ensure the highest quality kava.

Ovalau is known for its excellent kava, and we take great pride in our self-sufficient lifestyle. Growing up in New Zealand, I often visited Fiji and witnessed my family’s hard work and dedication to growing kava. Our grandparents, with their incredible knowledge of sustainability and self-sufficiency, have guided us to this point. Our grandmother's tenacity and business skills were remarkable, as she would take a 45-minute truck ride to town to sell her goods at local markets. Inspired by their legacy, we are now able to take their knowledge and share it wider.

In 2021, after a concussion left me unable to work, study, or play sports for a year, I realised kava's potential to treat anxiety. Our mission is to share this incredible product with New Zealand and beyond. We have created an instant kava product that makes it easier for people to enjoy its benefits, beyond traditional uses.
